Unpacking the Innovative Solara Hull Design
Our Innovative Design
Solara has drawn upon decades of experience developing performance hulls aboard sister brands Cutwater and Ranger Tugs, to produce our most advanced hull designs to date. The expertly crafted running surface of each Solara features a double-stepped hull, reverse chine, keel pad, laminar flow interrupters, and deep-V forward for exceptional feel and control.
Double-Stepped Hull
Our advanced double-stepped hull reduces drag by channeling air onto the running surface. This design enhances fuel efficiency and decreases time to plane. The steps, combined with the features detailed below, create an efficient, exceptionally handling, and high-performing hull design.
Reverse Chine & Keel Pad
Integral to our hull design, the reverse chine enhances stability and cornering performance. At the bow, the combination of optimized chine and bow flare minimizes spray in rough seas. Often overlooked, the perfectly balanced keel pad boosts high-speed stability, efficiency, and handling. These features ensure exceptional performance across the entire speed range.
Laminar Flow Interrupters
Our exclusive Laminar Flow Interrupters (LFIs) disrupt suction created by laminar flow at the bow while cornering. This innovative design provides exceptionally smooth and positive handling.
Deep-V Forward
Our advanced deep-V hull features an aggressive dead rise forward, for a smooth ride. The progressive taper improves both efficiency and handling
Engineering Excellence & Maritime Tradition
Our commitment to cutting-edge design and superior performance is in every aspect of our hull design.
